Pakistani Pakoras

Hi everybody!

This is Dr. Madiha, certified integrative holistic family physician.

I thought while I’m sitting here making … I have some special guests coming today, I wanted to make something special.

Again, this is not something we do on a regular basis, only a couple of times a year.

But let me show you what I have going here.

If you take chickpea flour and you mix it up with onions and potato or cauliflower, you can do basically any vegetable. Here I put in spinach, and then in a cast iron, I have fried these in coconut oil, again as a treat. They’re basically like dumplings.

They call them pakoras in Pakistan and India.

I’ve got them in coconut oil because that can withstand high heat.

I use all organic veggies.

Then what I’m doing is I’ve done the salad here …

In the bone broth I did lentils, so this is lentils in bone broth.

This here is chickpea patties that you’ll do, like that has chicken, lentils, so chicken lentil patties, lentils, and chicken and then I fried it in a little bit of egg, so it’s nice and a delicious little patty with lentils in it; we are getting the nutritional value. We’re going to do a ton lots more vegetables. Good?
